5. Tuna

Tuna is another nutritious fish to enjoy after working out because it’s low in fat and high in protein. It’s also got those heart healthy omega-3 fatty acids, so you will have stronger muscles without as much soreness. There are a lot of ways you can enjoy eating this fish, but in a tuna sandwich is the best!

1 serving tuna –
1 tsp lemon juice –
1 tsp olive oil –
1 tsp mustard –
2 leaves butter lettuce –
2 slices whole grain wheat bread-

Start by mixing together the tuna with the lemon juice, oil and mustard until it tastes how you would like. Then, top this on your bread along with the lettuce and enjoy it! There are a lot of ways you can prepare the tuna, but make sure to stay away from things like mayo or any other additives that are high in fat.

6. Eggs

Eggs are extremely versatile and they really do taste great! It’s just important to remember that egg whites are much healthier than whole eggs, as the yolks have a lot of cholesterol and calories in them. Eating more egg whites after you work out will provide your body with the protein that it needs. If you want to prepare these in a meal, then make an egg-white omelet.

1/2 cup egg whites –
1 cup spinach –
2 tablespoons your choice shredded cheese-

Simply heat up a frying pan with cooking spray before pouring in the egg whites. After the egg whites have almost solidified on top, add in your spinach and cheese. Let this cook until there is no more runny liquid and then you can eat with a piece of whole grain toast.
