As a nutritionist I love talking about salmon. It’s one of my top foods to recommend to my clients! I love how this pink powerhouse of nutrition is packed with omega-3’s which I find so important for our heart and brain health. When I eat salmon I feel like I’m giving my body a treat. It’s not just the omega-3’s that get me excited, I’m also impressed with the high quality protein and B12 and D vitamins. I tell my clients that adding salmon to their diet is like giving themselves a delicious multivitamin! Plus I love how versatile it is to cook – grilled, baked or even raw in sushi. - Inflammation: Eating salmon as an oily fish regularly can lower inflammation in the body which is key to managing diseases like diabetes and cancer.
